    Yes! Please :P

I am working on a mobile project and I want to integrate sencha touch 2 and phonegap but it does not feel like in the mobile browser. Do you know why could it happen?

    Thx.

Hey Cristian, not sure why it wouldn’t feel right to you when deployed with PhoneGap, but doing a tutorial on embedding Sencha Touch within PhoneGap is definitely a good idea. If we get a significant amount of interest with this post, I’ll consider this for a future post. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi Mark,
I am a newbie to Mobile website. If I am to use Snecha for the mobile only website, is it a good selection.
    How about Jquery.
I will need to learn a new framework. Which one shall I choose and why?

It’s tough to answer this in just a few sentences, but my advice would center around 1) The JavaScript framework you’re already familiar with, and 2) How much time you have for the project. jQuery Mobile is the natural extension for those familiar with jQuery while Sencha Touch is the mobile evolution of ExtJS. Generally speaking, you’ll have a much higher learning curve with Sencha Touch than you will with jQuery Mobile, but the power of Sencha Touch can pay off over time if you’re willing to push through that initial curve. If possible, try experimenting with a small project or work through a few tutorials with both before making your decision.

Thanks for these resources Mark. I’m currently working on a Sencha Touch 2 project and have a few more lined up closer to the end of the year. A comparison of how Sencha Touch 2 stacks up against its competition would be awesome for people looking to get into mobile development using an HTML5 framework ;)

Great suggestion, Cam. No promises, but we may be able to line something like that up. Thanks for the feedback!

I am using Jquery Mobile for my web-based social network site for mobile devices… and sencha seems to be a promising framework for developing apps for iphones, droid and bb.

I’m far more interested in Titanium then Sencha Apps, the main reason is, compiling an HTML5 + PhoneGap app has proven to be slower than AIR Mobile apps.

I would love to see more Titanium tutorials.

    • Luis G.

You can use Sencha Touch and PhoneGap together

    • Leela naga

Once you start doing things and see the power of sencha, you ll no more feel that compiling of HTML5+phoneGap is slower..!!

    @Mark This videos are great.

However, I am writing here to let you know, if you need more tutorials on Sencha Touch, Phonegap and ExtJS, I would love to contribute. I am working solely with Sencha/ExtJS technologies for last 3.5+ years.

I could have posted the content via Tut+ Content Pitch, but I needed to know whether you need any tutorials or not. Do contact me for any queries.
